Scrawl down your notes and important things to do so when you're sitting at your monitor you don't forget those things you got to do! Put it in your Startup folder and let it run in your system tray - there is no setup program. Just download it, unzip it to the directory of your choice and let it go to work for you. Starterbase was built simply because I wanted an easy way to store and structure various bits of information on the web. I was using a combination of blogs, email, and notepad, and just got sick of not being able to organize all of these things in one place. CLICK TO ENLARGE Sim Bust Note Mgr.  SimBust Note Manger is a simple yet robust application that allows you to easily edit, view, and organize various types of information -- notes, memos, thoughts, code snippets, logs, etc. It has intuitive 3-pane layout, very similar to Windows Explorer.Its stealth key scheme, in addition to the typical file password, is especially suited for keeping confidential data, such as diaries or passwords. Typical file password is good but shows to the world that something is hidden. Stealth key, on the other hand, does not even show that. So prying eyes can not even see if there is something hidden, much less the content of it. Screenshots. CLICK TO ENLARGE Note Holder Lite  NotesHolder lets you quickly type in any piece of information so that you can easily find it when you need, read it or print it out for your convenience. This is the most effective way to store all your notes without cluttering up your desk with PostIt and sticky notes.Unlike the other similar applications, NotesHolder is very thrifty with your screen space. You can even turn off NotesHolder icon in the system tray. But if you move your mouse cursor to the edge of the screen, the list of the notes sorted by the time of creation and divided into categories will pop up. Click once to create a new note or to edit an existing one. Click once more to print the note.There are a few differences in the paid version as usual but I don't think those features are that necessary.Screenshots. CLICK TO ENLARGE Quick Note  Often you do not need an advanced text processor but a virtual scrapbook to write down an occasional thought, a plan for the day or an Internet URL. With a plain text editor, which can be used for this purpose, you have to run the program first, then create a new file, then type a line or two and save the file. Too many things to do in order to simply write down a thought? With Quicknote, it does not matter which programs you are currently using; whenever you want to write something down that comes to mind, just 'wake up' Quicknote by touching a small line on the top of your screen with the mouse or by pressing shortcut keys. In its resizable window you can jot down your notes and organize them in categories or even sketch small drawings. CLICK TO ENLARGE Handy Notes   If you need to keep track of little bits of information while you work at your computer, then HandyNotes is for you. Once it's installed and running, just click on the tray icon or press a hotkey, and HandyNotes pops up. Then you can either browse through your notes or search, or you can click and create a new note. No need to create new text documents or keep messy post it notes.  CLICK TO ENLARGE Fly Note   Fly Note is like an online organizer. You can use it as a basic online diary, or as a journal. You can also make lists. Drawings. Store files. Organize your contacts. Search all your stuff. Plus more features,check it out. CLICK TO ENLARGE ViaList  ViaList is software that helps your club, group, committee, or family stay organized and up-to-date. It lets you share any kind of list — things to do, contact information, agendas, ideas, whatever you need — as easily as sending an e-mail. Once you've "posted" a list, everyone whose e-mail address you selected will be able to read and update the list on their own time. ViaList makes sure that all users of the list get each others' updates, keeping everyone "on the same page." CLICK TO ENLARGE A Note A Note is not another Post it-like program. When A Note closes it will automatically upload your notes to a server. And when you start the program the notes will be downloaded. This feature makes it possible to share the same notes on different computers automatically. More features are that you can change the font, set alarm, email the notes, set background color, print, export and import notes. And the best bart: It is totally FREE !!!! A Note is a freeware: there is nothing to pay in order to get and use it. The A Note 4.0.1 free full version contains an installer and an uninstaller, and has a size of 500 Kilobytes. Only one minute will be needed to get it on a DSL connection, or up to 2 minutes if you are using a 56k modem to download A Note 4.0.1. CLICK TO ENLARGE Web Note  Webnote is a tool for taking notes on your computer. It allows you to quickly write something down during a meeting, class, or any other time that you have a web browser available. You start by creating a workspace and creating notes in the workspace. You can save your workspace at any time and return to them from the same computer or any other computer. You can also share your notes with others by providing the workspace name (or url) to a friend.Pretty cool. CLICK TO ENLARGE ReadyNotes is a great way to keep all of your thoughts, notes and projects organized in an easy to access and easy to search format. ReadyNotes is useful for storing things like things to do lists, names, numbers and related details, special projects, writings and general thoughts, Websites and E-mail addresses, lists of books to read and videos to rent, a journal, snippets and stories from Websites -- or any kind of information from anywhere. You will find this one installed on my PC.
