These Guides were started with the intention of providing a useful resource for the moderate to advanced computer users. From the feedback received so far, they have far exceeded my expectations.

When Size Does Matter: KB, MB, GB, TB... Help!
Do the various terms hosting providers use confuse you?

You are not alone!

Many people find themselves confused and frustrated when trying to figure out what a host is actually offering them and whether or not they really need it. If HostA is offering 1,000 MB of bandwidth, HostB is offering 1 GB of bandwidth, and you are wondering which host is offering you more bandwidth, then this article is for you.

Look at the facts.

  • 8 bits are equal to 1 byte.
  • 1,024 bytes are equal to 1 kilobyte (KB).
  • 1,024 kilobytes (KB) are equal to 1 megabyte (MB or Meg)
  • 1,024 megabytes are equal to 1 gigabyte (GB or Gig)
  • 1,024 gigabytes are equal to 1 terabyte. (TB)

Optimizing Windows  This site "Optimizing Windows" gives you the information how to install and optimize Windows and how to create a Windows system image. All the tips, tricks and tools you need to know about before you start installing and optimizing your Windows! Very eye catching site with lots of good information and even some freeware.

101 Ways To Hack Your PC You know how you’re told to format and reinstall Windows every couple of months because that’s the thing to do? That’s a tweak, of sorts. True, it’s probably the most drastic tweak you can do, but it gets the job done. Everything runs better, those annoying pop-ups go away, and it clears all traces of porn from the ever-wary girlfriend.

The purpose of this guide is to take our combined Atomic knowledge on tweaking PCs, be it for extra performance, cleaner running, automation, scripting – whatever – and provide them all, to you, in a nice, compact format so you can start optimising your computer, right now. Each one of these tips is distinctly Atomic, which means they’re the best. Plus, we’ve polished them to a fine shine... but not so fine a shine that they’ll blind you. Except with their brilliance, which is blinding. This site,
Atomic is full of good and interesting information.
