WinPatrol uses a heuristic approach to detecting attacks and violations of your computing
environment. Traditional security programs scan your hard drive searching for previously identified threats. WinPatrol takes
snapshot of your critical system resources and alerts you to any changes that may occur without your knowledge. You'll be
removing dangerous new programs while others download new definition files.

Starter As a primary purpose, Starter allows one to view and manage all the programs that
are starting automatically whenever operating system is loading. It enumerates all the hidden registry entries, startup folders'
items and some of the initialization files, so that the user could choose to temporarily disable selected entries, edit them,
create new, or delete them permanently.
Secondary purpose is to list all the running processes with possibility to
view extended process' information (such as used DLLs, memory usage, thread count, priorities etc.), and to terminate selected
process (even a Windows NT service, having enough access rights).Good program but I can't understand why they have a permanent
pop up window, no closing it.

Startup Control Panel is a nifty control panel applet that allows you to easily configure which
programs run when your computer starts. It's simple to use and, like all my programs, is very small and won't burden your
system. A valuable tool for system administrators!

a-squared HiJackFree enables you to manage programs that are configured to start automatically whenever
your computer boots. You can enables/disable selected items, and also edit the registry information. The program offers a
very detailed inspection of all startup areas, including several tricky methods that could be abused by malicious programs,
but are usually not shown in standard startup managers. It also shows a list of Explorer add-ons, open ports and programs
that use them, host file entires, and running processes. a-squared HiJackFree is intended to be used by advanced users only
- disabling or removing the wrong components may cause system instability or worse.
