Web Tarantula NEW V3.7.1  - The 5-star multpilex web desktop. Now with access to your IE Favorites and with an XP-style skin. This is a little different aproach but I change is good sometime. As you know I download about 90% of these programs so I can get a good screenshot and a feel for the program. I will say this progam after setup (easy) gets you to your favorite site in a flash. Check it out. The only draw back I see is you are only able to load eight sites but that' enough favorites I guess.

Liks2Tray is a utility that resides in the system tray (near the clock). It displays a menu combining Internet Explorer's Favorites, Netscape's Bookmarks and Opera's Hotlist links. You can load any link's web page in either Internet Explorer, Netscape or Opera (assuming you have these programs installed of course). When the browser isn't running yet, Links2Tray will launch it for you.

LaunchBar Commander is what is commonly referred to as an “Application Launcher”; it is typically docked to the side of your screen and lets you configure buttons and menus which will launch your favorites programs.

eight.jpg8start Launcher is a program worth buying and pleasantly it is a freeware.
This program is a whole new way of launching programs and applications on your system. Starting programs from shortcuts on desktop and start menu is an obsolete and cumbersome process. Now it is made precise with categorization and graphic options. All your programs can be easily identified from the groups and the icons displayed. The art panel design and the graphical interface make your desktop much more viewable and useful than all your wallpapers and shortcuts put together. You can maintain a less icons desktop and access any program with a single click. Clear, useful groups replace the clutter of icons on your desktop. Even the menu is better than the standard start menu.
. Check this Baby out!

Taskbar Organizer enables you to rearrange the program entries on your Windows taskbar to your liking instead of the Windows default arrangement. When you open a program, Windows adds an entry to the end of the taskbar, which is sometimes inconvenient. Now you can reorder the tabs on the taskbar anytime you like, keeping similar programs together or moving your favorite program next to the Start button. This program doesn't affect the QuickLaunch buttons in any way and rearranges only the open windows portion of the taskbar.

TrayIt! allows to save precious Taskbar space for minimized windows. For each application which applies TrayIt! it creates a small icon in the System Tray. (System Tray area is located near the Clock). When application's window is minimized this icon represents the application on the Taskbar instead of the regular "minimized rectangle". The screenshot gives details on how to use Tray It.

Taskbar Button Manager is a simple utility that helps you arrange the buttons on your Windows taskbar in any way you want by using drag and drop. Moving your task buttons is very easy, no hotkey needed. In addition to drag and drop you can also use a special program window for moving the taskbar buttons. You can hide running programs too, so they don't show on your taskbar. The program works in all situations – even when the taskbar buttons are grouped or when the taskbar is not located in the standard bottom area of the screen.

LaunchIt NOW! allows you to have a small, desktop-like window with full-size icons to launch your favorite programs, files, folders, documents or URLs. It runs in the system tray and is always just one click away. Also, it can be called via a user-defined hotkey. You can change the background color and the only thing that I was unable to drag was Internet Explorer. When you put you mouse on the program it will identify. What else, you will need to get the code for the program to become usable, just click on the register code button and there will be your code, no registration or any of that. I just got through loading my most used programs and I think it's pretty cool.

Tray Wizard 4.03 (last freeware version)
OS: Windows all
Tray Wizard is designed to greatly extend user's convenience while working in Microsoft Windows products family. It provides a wide range of abilities in a task bar system area (i.e. system tray) management.
With Tray Wizard you can:
- Launch your favorite applications from tray menu.
- Use fixed order of icons in tray.
- Remove icons that are not in use.
- Show/hide icons using predefined key combination.
- Minimize windows to tray or tray menu rather than task panel.
- Manage session/power state of your computer.

MR Tech Systray is a swiss army knife of tools, tweaks and system options. It will not only let you quickly shut down, restart or log off from Windows, it can help keep your hard disk a little cleaner, organize your MP3 & Other Media files, edit MP3's iD3 tags, sort text lines, log reboots and tune your system. Other features include: system-wide shortcut keys, an incredibly fast program uninstaller, a directory jump list, enhanced system information, save or print screenshot/window and more.

Mr. Tech offers a lot of other goodies on the site and I think you'll enjoy looking around and you'll probably find something else interesting and free.

This is another program that sits in the system tray but since that's so close to the taskbar I'll add it there:)
