Beginners Maintenance Check List I think you will find this one interesting and the site is posted on FREE
PIMS somewhere put it is full of goodies if you just keep looking. I am bad about not getting to the root of a site or just
the opposite, stay there forever.
Start, Run, type in (eudcedit)
Hit the start button and the run, type this in the empty run box, eudcedit,
see what you come up with.

Net For 2 NetFor2 enables two computers to share the same telephone line, cable or DSL
connection without the need for a computer network. You don't have to install any new hardware in your computers. All you
need is a serial cable connecting your two PC's. You will pay just one ISP subscription fee, one telephone bill, and no concurrent
hours cost. This is worth a try but the cable will have to be pretty long.
Ted's Tech Site Great site (just a little out of date but) with lots of resources,
just click one of the green buttons in the naviagation column and check out the goodies. You are going to get a few 404's
but there are still some links worth checking out.
It's a good idea to record your computer's system information in case a technician
needs it later. To do so:
| • |
Click Start, then Run, and type "msinfo32" in the text field. Click OK to open the
System Information window. |

System Information window
| • |
In the window, on theFile menu, click Export. |
| • |
Name the file and save it to an external storage device such as a blank CD or thumb
drive, and store it in a safe place.
Note: Windows Live One Care also offers easy file backup and restore.
You should also keep the Windows installation CDs and related product key handy.
I have seen no installation CD's lately. Have you? In any case I did export to external
drive. |
