In all fairness you can usually type what you are trying to figure out how to do right into Google. Example: how do I create a desktop shortcut, but if we didn't have web sites to search Google would be useless. Where did that come from?

Web Design From Scratch  Web design is a complex discipline that involves a wide range of skills. I notice that some of the most basic skills are lacking in many web site designs.

Those basic skills are quite simple, but can be hard to gain because of a lack of teaching material. That's what WDFS aims to solve!

Animated Knots By Grog This is about one cool site. I didn't realize there were so many type knots and the animated shots makes it look easy.

Automatic: Each knot automatically "ties itself" when the page opens. Fast and slow buttons allow each animation to be replayed. To make it easier to visualize different situations, many of the animations can also be played reflected left for right as well as inverted (select using the Normal, Mirror, Inverted, Rotated buttons at the top).

Step by Step: Move the mouse along the row of numbered buttons under the knot to see each stage of tying the knot. For many knots, at the end of the row "Structure" shows one picture which helps understand the way the knot "fits together. I believe this site would be interesting to anyone, check it out.
